12:00 I 26.06.2025 - 04.07.2025 I ETSAV · Hall

This is the final presentation of the intensive course 'City and Memory', coordinated by Professor Kathrin Golda-Pongratz and doctoral student Fernanda Luzuriaga from the Department of Urbanism, Territory and Landscape.

From the initial sharing of ideas at the beginning of the workshop, three main lines of thought emerged, aiming to address contemporary issues and approaches to the interpretation, evaluation and design of public spaces in relation to immediate physical or collective urban memory. The first line of thought focuses on ideological, political and in relation with the nation, the second on social and cultural aspects and their tracking in an ethnographic approach, and the third on spatial, territorial, architectural and urban aspects.
