"CITIES AND THEIR THESES 1970-2020"

2nd meeting of professors linked to Cities and their Theses,

- In A Coruña on September 29th and 30th of 2023, ETSA-UDC

The 2nd meeting of professors linked to Cities and their Theses, to be held in A Coruña on September 29 and 30, aims, on the one hand, to open the exhibition to the general public and to the teaching architects and students of the School of Architecture of A Coruña, so it will be held in the delegation of the College of Architects of Galicia, located at Federico Tapia Street, number 64. The venue, located in the area of the first expansion of the city, is prepared for the exhibition of everything type of work and proposals linked to architecture and urban planning.

The aim is to give it a vision and citizen dimension that transcends professional and research praxis. The exhibition shows practically all of the panels exhibited in Valencia, which are joined by a set of more specific plans about cities and part of the Galician territory, in an attempt to attract part of its citizens, showing images taken from the theses carried out. 

The different videos made about the Valencia exhibition will also be presented. On the other hand, the Meeting will continue on September 30 at the School of Architecture, with a program focused on the analysis of aspects contained, globally, in part of the theses presented in the different participating Schools of Architecture, and that help to the formalization of the intended investigation.

As initial themes, likely to be developed with the contributions of the debate and the final synthesis that is planned to be carried out in the afternoon session, two lines have been chosen:

•New ways of representing the city

•City-Territory vs. Territory-City
